This is a fantastic piece of Mexican folk art. The candle holder is likely made from Oaxacan clay, a unique clay which gives it the distinctive black color you see. It was probably made in the 1950's. The candle holder has ventilation holes on top and one in the back. The oval opening in the front reveals a single candle holder. It is in good vintage condition with some wax residue at the bottom of the candle holder and some scuff and scratches to the paint. Please see all the photos for more details. The candle holder stands about 9.75" tall.
