Vintage Lidded Faiance Box designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen.
The box is part of the BACA Series and is highly collectible. The design colors are black and gray on a white base. This piece is Form #3267.Decoration #711
The box is 3'" in lenth, 3" in width and 1.5" in height. It is in very good preowned condition width no chips, cracks or crazing.
The decorative technique used in the Baca Series is a silkscreen printing process in which Vanidin and/or other metallic salts tare added o the colors. This causes the colors to bubble slightly creating a relief effect. Colors may change during the firing process resulting in small variations from piece to piece.
