The Panther Safe-Skeg 35SS700 is a premium 316 marine-grade stainless steel skeg guard engineered to provide top-tier protection for your Yamaha 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 HP outboard motors (2- and 4-stroke) built approximately 2002–present.
Why this matters: At the lowest point of the lower unit, the skeg acts not only as a rudder for stability and straight-line running but also as a sacrificial fin prone to damage from underwater impacts, drag, or abrasion. A bent or chipped skeg can degrade handling, cause tracking issues and lead to premature lower unit wear. The Safe-Skeg mitigates that by protecting or restoring your skeg to “like-new” performance.
