This listing is for a cup and saucer set made in Germany in the 20th century to copy a 19th century original. It is called a Captain's cup and saucer given to the captain of a ship after a successful trip.
The saucer is painted with gold trim and the cup has a handpainted ship in the water on it with the name 'LEOPARD' Porcelai Hand Painted, by A. Warning Corner Hamburg. The cup is numbered on the bottom, #577/1000.
The cup and saucer are in perfect condition. The cup is 3.5 inches tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 6.25 inches in diameter. A very nice piece that would make a great addition to any collection.
Each cup and saucer, are presented in a blue box, with the words written in gold:
"Original Kapitains-Tasse Nach historischen Vorbildern handgemalt"
"CAPTAIN'S CUP"
Both cup and saucer, are in Mint Condition, with no chips/cracks or flaws. The Blue box is also in great condition.
