This pair of antique tobacco silks dates to the early 1900s and features a golden yellow base with intricate pink, green, and ivory designs. One has a bold floral medallion at center, the other a striking geometric pattern. Both are edged with fringe and labeled on the reverse: Factory No. 549, 1st Dist. N.Y. These miniature textile rugs were originally included in cigarette packages as collectible premiums. Light wear, faint staining, and age curling from long-term storage. Selling as foundfringe may be uneven or folded under. A striking matched set for framing or display.
