1950s Tall MCM TABLE LAMP Satsuka Style Hand-Painted Porcelain Made in Hong Kong

A bucolic water scene unfolds serenely with the graceful design of orange lotuses and green water lilies that adorns all four sides of this tall and elegant porcelain lamp, made in Hong Kong in the 1950s, and which likely began its life as a Satsuma-style vase. A magical and magnificent dragon-duck in black purple, green, red, and gold decorates the bottom left corner of each side and this fantastical creature is also seen diving in flight on two sides of the neck of the lamp. A decorative pattern of Chinese characters encircles the lamp at top and bottom. As noted, this hand-painted vintage table lamp is tall, standing 34.5" high. It is 6.6" in width and depth, and 5.75" wide at the base. Weight before packing is 7 lbs. 13 oz. In addition to providing central table lighting for your living area, the lamp offers serenity and visual pleasure each time you turn it on.
